Edited by: Sin Ist on 19/02/2004 21:49:49 It goes soemthing like this:
Anyone with any negative security rating to that empire shows up as red. That is 0.0 or lower.
Under .5 security empire space the sentry guns will not attack unless being attacked themselves I think. WHy they have sentry guns in .5 and lower if they dont protect their own citizens I have no idea. It just adds to the drunkeness of CCP.
Above .5 security space if you have a -5 or lower sec rating you will be auotmatically attacked by sentry guns. If you are -1 to -4 you can still enter high security space and not be attacked by concord unless you attack somebody else.
THe whoel thing FUBAR with this is that if your flying around in 1.0 space and you jump to a gate you see somebody with a RED icon on their name. This leads me to beleive that they are an enemy and I should be able to attack them. This is not true and if you do you will be swiftly killed.
I propose that anybody with -0.1 to -4.99 should show up as orange. And anybody with -5 or lower should show up as red. This will make people aware of who these people are. Also you should be able to attack anyone with a -5 or lower sec rating and not receive any faction loss. Its ridiculous that you cant attack anybody in .5 to .1 space without losing faction regardless if the other person is a pirate.
Im new so I might have been misinterpretaed ons ome points and Id love to hear the deal. A nd what CCP plans to do with the moronic display of colors and faction hits etc.

You can attack people in .4 to 0.0 without concord attacking you. Im not sure the deal with the sentry guns in .4 to .1 but im pretty sure they are just eye candy(dunno though).
You will lose security rating though in .4 to .1 space if you attack somebody. And if you pod somebody you will lose even more. I am pretty sure the security rating loss is minimal in .4 from just attacking and gets even lower in .1 i would assume.
But the whole thing is a serious mess up. If they dont fix the whole thing soon I would be insulted.
If your -5 or lwoer you should be able to be attacked at any time anywhere without the attacker losing any faction standing. The lower that person sec rating like -4.99 to -0.1 you should less and less faction for attacking that person. So if I attack a -4.99 security rating person in .4 space my faction loss should be miniscule. If I attacks omebodyw ith only a -.1 sec rating then my faction loss should be greater but still not anything significant to make me a criminal myself.
The colors should be orange for -.1 to -4.9 and red for -5 to -10. It is only common sense to me . If osmebody is RED I should be able to kill them anywhere with no faction loss.
CMON NOW.

What an even more FUBAR'd mess then. How can an empire claim 0.0 space and we cant do anything about it? 0.0 space to me should be fair game for anyone. THis is kind of discerning the lack of thought that has gone into this mess.
Take NPC sentry guns out of 0.0 then.
And keep the damn empires in positive security space. A named system to me should be owned by someone then and some kind of security rating in place.
Yeah while I might not lose faction in 0.0 I still can get attacked by things we cant destroy. Please. Its your game CCP and if you wisht o make it a sensible game then I suggest we take like a week vacation from the game and think about it. I know usually when I take a break forms omething I get an enlightened view of it when I come back.

Thanks pooti spoken like a true PVP'er.
And just to let you know my name is Sin Ist not Sin 1st. So everything you said in your first post was WRONG. Hehe just bein annoying dont mind me.
What about faction standings? And whats the deal with noob named 0.0 systems. Was this brought on as an extension for the carebears to protect their indy;s from pirates.
*me has been playing for 4 days so dont take what I say as truth I am just posting what I have assumed. I think this system is OK if you dont lose faction in .5 or lower space and if you get rid of the 0.0 named systems in addition to about -100 people subscribing as they scream in fear of pirates. This is all good stuff to know though.
